Privacy & HIPAA
Sono757 follows the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules to protect the confidentiality of your protected health information (PHI).
Our commitment
Sono757 Diagnostic Imaging Center is committed to protecting the privacy and security of every patient's health information. We use and share PHI only as permitted by HIPAA — for treatment (such as delivering your report to your referring physician), payment, and healthcare operations, or when you authorize it in writing. Our staff are trained on privacy and are expected to access only the information they need to do their jobs.
Contacting us safely
Email is convenient but is not always private. When you email support@sono757.com, please keep your first message general — avoid your date of birth, Social Security number, or medical details. Referring offices sending orders to orders@sono757.com should use their practice's secure (encrypted) email. Orders and referrals received at that address are used only for scheduling your study and returning the report, and are handled by authorized Sono757 staff.
Your privacy rights
Under HIPAA you have the right to:
- Look at and get a copy of your health records
- Ask us to correct information you believe is wrong
- Receive a list of certain disclosures we have made
- Request restrictions on how we use or share your information
- Ask us to contact you in a confidential way or at a different address
- Receive a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices
To use any of these rights, email support@sono757.com.
Questions or concerns
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may contact us at support@sono757.com or file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, at hhs.gov/hipaa/filing-a-complaint. We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.
